UCI Libraries-UROP Research Fellowship Award
The UCI Libraries, in cooperation with UROP, sponsors the Libraries-UROP Research Fellowship (LURF) awards of up to $500 to recognize UC Irvine students who make significant or creative use of information resources, the library, and its collections in their UROP project. The LURF Award is co-sponsored by the UC Irvine Librariesí Nellie Ansley Reeves Endowment Fund and UROP. In addition to a research award, Library-UROP Fellows will have the opportunity to work closely with a research librarian who is a subject expert in the studentís field of inquiry.
If you wish to be considered for this award, include information in your UROP proposal on how you intend to use library print or electronic resources.
Submissions will be judged on how well student researchers demonstrate:
Based on recommendations by the UROP Faculty Advisory Board and a panel of librarians, the Fellowship will provide up to $500 to encourage completion of the project. The LURF awards are made in addition to other funds received from UROP and are not directly tied to the cost of the project.

Projects that have demonstrated excellence based on the overall quality of the project and manuscript will be highlighted on the Libraries Web site and a select few may be displayed in the Libraries.
