Eligibility Requirements

You are eligible to apply to the SURF-IT program if you:

	Are a highly motivated and high-achieving UCI undergraduate who has attained junior standing.
	Will be continuing as a student in the year following the summer program.
	Have a strong drive to pursue research and a career in the multidisciplinary fields of telecommunications and information technology.
	Will have completed at least one quarter of research under the guidance of a faculty mentor prior to the start of the program.

Application Process 

Submit the SURF-IT application online. The online application will allow you to complete a personal profile, upload a personal statement, select and rank the projects you are most interested in, and provide contact information for two references.
