Dear Member of the UCI Faculty:
You are cordially invited to join us at the Twenty-Sixth Annual
UCI Undergraduate Research Symposium to be held on Saturday,
May 18, 2019, in the UCI Student Center. This year’s theme, “Undergraduate Research: Remembering & Predicting,” symbolizes the importance of past accomplishments in guiding future discoveries. We are pleased to announce that this year’s Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Marcelo A. Wood, Professor and Chair of Neurobiology & Behavior.
This stimulating day-long event provides
an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students, UCI faculty
and staff, parents, alumni,
members of the media and the outside community to actively participate
in communicating about research and creative activities in all academic
fields. The Symposium gives students a rich experience in the presentation
aspect of the research process through their oral and/or poster
presentations and discussions.
We ask you to encourage participation by interested students who
are currently involved in research, or by students who would like
to learn about the work of their fellow undergraduates. The Presentation
and Abstract Submission Form is due by Monday, April
If you are interested in attending or participating as a panel
moderator, or if you know any students who might be interested
attending, or volunteering to help with the Symposium, please
contact me by E-mail: email@example.com
or phone: (949) 824-4189.
